Dan Johnson

My career journey came full circle: I started out loving design, but detoured into cooking, which led me to a job as a dishwasher at a Compass Group USA site. After years in the kitchen, I eventually returned to design—and, unbelievably, back to the same corporate campus. Now, as a designer for Compass Digital, I build software for chefs through driving human-centered strategic outcomes. Having been in their shoes, I bring deep empathy and understanding to the products I create. I’m focused on growing into a design leader and founder.
